So technology plays an retrospective timeline in this anime, it started with adult Ran and Shinichi, in that time VHS tapes were in use, it was the 90's sometime 94/96 I assume. In this ep they are 10 years younger, so they use smart phones which can send MMS's in 84/86. At the same time I like and dislike the idea that the anime is keeping up with todays technology, has a confusing weird vibe

Why is Sera the only one who mentions Ran and Shinichi meeting her before? Why not Akai? Although we are supposed to think that he doesn't know that Conan is Shinichi, I feel like he would've remembered Ran and Shinichi's mom. I'm excited to learn more about this.

Especially since he'd come across Ran a few times since then, even before Subaru, i.e. in 288*, 309, and 345. On the other hand, Shinichi and Yukiko are the ones who seemed to stand out to him there at the beach. Did he only see that Conan is Shinichi in 691? Looking back through, he seemed to recognize Shiho at least as early as the end of 311; with that plus chasing and confronting Vermouth, they had some idea about the reverse-aging back then... Shuukichi remembers for sure, though.
